Founded in 1936, Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes (Departmental Institute of Fine Arts) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Cali (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Valle del Cauca. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Colombia (Ministry of National Education of Colombia), Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes (Bellas Artes) is a very small coeducational Colombian higher education institution. Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes (Bellas Artes) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
