Founded in 1929, Iran University of Science and Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Tehran (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Arak. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) is a small coeducational Iranian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 93 years old Iranian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. IUST also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
