Founded in 1926, Isabela State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Echague (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Cagayan Valley. This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Angadanan, Cabagan, Cauayan, Ilagan, Jones, Roxas, San Mariano, San Mateo.
