Established in 1982, Islamic Azad University, South Tehran is a private higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Tehran (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Islamic Azad University, South Tehran is a very large coeducational Iranian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion.
