Founded in 1988, Islamic University College, Ghana is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Accra (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Greater Accra. Officially recognized by the National Accreditation Board, Ghana (National Accreditation Board of Ghana), Islamic University College, Ghana (IUG) is a very small coeducational Ghanaian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Islamic University College, Ghana (IUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 34 years old Ghanaian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. IUG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
