Founded in 2000, Jaamacada Hargeysa (University of Hargeisa) is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Hargeisa (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Woqooyi Galbeed. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Somaliland, Jaamacada Hargeysa (UoH) is a coeducational Somali higher education institution. Jaamacada Hargeysa (UoH) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UoH also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
