Founded in 2006, John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Bor (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Jonglei. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan, John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology (JGMU) is a very small coeducational South Sudanese higher education institution. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology (JGMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. JGMU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
