Established in 2009, Jungwon University is a private higher-education institution located in the large town of Goesan (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), North Chungcheong. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Jungwon University (JWU) is a coeducational South Korean higher education institution formally affiliated with the Daesun Jinrihoe religion. Jungwon University (JWU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. JWU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, as well as administrative services.
