Founded in 1947, Kangwon National University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium city of Chuncheon (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Gangwon. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Kangwon National University is a large coeducational South Korean higher education institution.
