Established in 1950, Karaganda Medical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Karaganda (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Karaganda Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karaganda Medical University (KMU) is a very small coeducational Kazakhstani higher education institution. Karaganda Medical University (KMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. KMU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
