Established in 1949, Kim Won Gyun Pyongyang Conservatory is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Pyongyang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of North Korea, Kim Won Gyun Pyongyang Conservatory is a coeducational North Korean higher education institution. Kim Won Gyun Pyongyang Conservatory offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Kim Won Gyun Pyongyang Conservatory also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
