Founded in 2011, Kirinyaga University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Kerugoya (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kirinyaga. Officially recognized by the Commission for University Education of Kenya, Kirinyaga University (KYU) is a coeducational Kenyan higher education institution. Kirinyaga University (KYU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. KYU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
