Established in 2009, Klaipedos valstybine kolegija (Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Klaipeda (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Lietuvos Respublikos vietimo ir mokslo ministerija (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania), Klaipedos valstybine kolegija (KVK) is a coeducational Lithuanian higher education institution. Klaipedos valstybine kolegija (KVK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 13 years old Lithuanian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. KVK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
