Founded in 1997, Kwangju Women's University is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Gwangju (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Kwangju Women's University (KWU) is a women only South Korean higher education institution. Kwangju Women's University (KWU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. KWU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
