Established in 1954, Kwangshin University is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Gwangju (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Kwangshin University is a coeducational South Korean higher education institution. Kwangshin University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Kwangshin University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
