Founded in 2005, Lupane State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the small town of Lupane (population range of under 2,500 inhabitants), Matabeleland North. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education of Zimbabwe, Lupane State University (LSU) is a small coeducational Zimbabwean higher education institution. Lupane State University (LSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 17 years old Zimbabwean higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. LSU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
