Founded in 1997, Maltepe Üniversitesi (Maltepe University) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the large metropolis of Istanbul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Istanbul. Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Maltepe Üniversitesi is a large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
