Founded in 1979, Mangosuthu University of Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Durban (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), KwaZulu-Natal. This institution also has a branch campus in Umlazi. Officially recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training of South Africa, Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) is a large coeducational South African higher education institution.
