Founded in 2015, Merowe University of Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Merowe (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Northern State. This institution also has a branch campus in Karima. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan, Merowe University of Technology (MUT) is a very small coeducational Sudanese higher education institution. Merowe University of Technology (MUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. MUT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
