Founded in 2001, Mettu University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Metu (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Oromia Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Mettu University (MeU) is a coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution. Mettu University (MeU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. MeU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
