Founded in 2005, Mount Meru University is a private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the metropolis of Arusha (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities, Mount Meru University (MMU) is a very small coeducational Tanzanian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Baptist religion. Mount Meru University (MMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. MMU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
