Founded in 1990, Mykolo Romerio Universitetas (Mykolas Romeris University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Vilnius (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Kaunas. Officially recognized by the Lietuvos Respublikos vietimo ir mokslo ministerija (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania), Mykolo Romerio Universitetas (MRU) is a large coeducational Lithuanian higher education institution.
