Founded in 1926, National Ilan University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Yilan City (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Yilan County. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, National Ilan University (NIU) is a coeducational Taiwanese higher education institution. National Ilan University (NIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. NIU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
