Founded in 1980, National Sun Yat-Sen University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Kaohsiung City (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Kaohsiung. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) is a medium-sized coeducational Taiwanese higher education institution.
