Founded in 1805, Nizhyn Gogol State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Nizhyn (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Chernihiv Oblast. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Nizhyn Gogol State University (NGSU) is a medium-sized coeducational Ukrainian higher education institution. Nizhyn Gogol State University (NGSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. NGSU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
