Established in 1964, Njala University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Freetown (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Western Area. This institution also has a branch campus in Bo City and Njala. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education of Sierra Leone, Njala University (NU) is a large coeducational Sierra Leonean higher education institution. Njala University (NU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. NU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
