Established in 2011, Nkhoma University is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Lilongwe (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Region. Officially recognized by the National Council for Higher Education of Malawi, Nkhoma University (NU) is a coeducational Malawian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Presbyterian religion. Nkhoma University (NU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. NU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
