Founded in 1999, O'zbekiston xalqaro islom akademiyasi (International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Tashkent (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, O'zbekiston xalqaro islom akademiyasi (IIAU) is a very small coeducational Uzbekistani higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. O'zbekiston xalqaro islom akademiyasi (IIAU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. IIAU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
