Founded in 2009, Oromia State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Ziway (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Oromia Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Oromia State University (OSU) is a large coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution. Oromia State University (OSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study.
