Founded in 1997, Preovská univerzita v Preove (University of Preov) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Preov (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Presov. This institution also has a branch campus in Kosice. Officially recognized by the Ministerstvo kolstva, vedy, výskumu a portu Slovenskej republiky (Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic), Preovská univerzita v Preove (PU) is a medium-sized coeducational Slovak higher education institution. Preovská univerzita v Preove (PU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 25 years old Slovak higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
