Established in 2007, Private Pädagogische Hochschule der Diözese Linz (Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Linz (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Upper Austria. Officially recognized by the Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft and Forschung, Österreich (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of Austria), Private Pädagogische Hochschule der Diözese Linz (PHDL) is a very small coeducational Austrian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Private Pädagogische Hochschule der Diözese Linz (PHDL) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 15 years old Austrian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.
