Founded in 2001, Qurtaba University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Dera Ismail Khan (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This institution also has a branch campus in Peshawar. Officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Qurtaba University (QU) is a very small coeducational Pakistani higher education institution.
