Established in 1999, Rafik Hariri University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the large town of Damour (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Mount Lebanon. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon), Rafik Hariri University (RHU) is a very small coeducational Lebanese higher education institution. Rafik Hariri University (RHU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 22 years old Lebanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this Lebanese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. RHU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
