Founded in 2010, Rumbek University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Rumbek (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Lakes. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan, Rumbek University (RU) is a very small coeducational South Sudanese higher education institution. Rumbek University (RU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. RU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
