Established in 2014, Rusizi International University is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Rusizi (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Western Province. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Rwanda, Rusizi International University (RIU) is a coeducational Rwandan higher education institution. Rusizi International University (RIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. RIU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
