Founded in 2008, Semera University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium town of Semera (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Afar Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Semera University (SU) is a coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution. Semera University (SU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. SU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
