Established in 2000, Shaikh Zayed University, Khost is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Khost (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan, Shaikh Zayed University, Khost (SZU) is a small coeducational Afghan higher education institution. Shaikh Zayed University, Khost (SZU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. SZU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
