Established in 1965, Sharif University of Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Tehran (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Kish Island. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Sharif University of Technology (SUT) is a large coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Sharif University of Technology (SUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 57 years old Iranian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. SUT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
