Founded in 1982, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Srinagar (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Jammu and Kashmir. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of India, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST Kashmir) is a coeducational Indian higher education institution.
