Founded in 1949, Shihezi University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Shihezi (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Xinjiang. Officially recognized by the Department of Education of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Shihezi University is a large coeducational Chinese higher education institution. Shihezi University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
