Founded in 1995, Shomal University is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Amol (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Mazandaran. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Shomal University is a medium-sized coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Shomal University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
