Founded in 1994, Socialiniu mokslu kolegija (SMK University of Applied Social Sciences) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Klaipeda (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Vilnius, Kaunas. Officially recognized by the Lietuvos Respublikos vietimo ir mokslo ministerija (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania), Socialiniu mokslu kolegija (SMK) is a small coeducational Lithuanian higher education institution. Socialiniu mokslu kolegija (SMK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. SMK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
