Established in 1932, Sokhumi State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Tbilisi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Sokhumi State University is a coeducational Georgian higher education institution. Sokhumi State University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Sokhumi State University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
