Established in 1958, Southwest Petroleum University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Nanchong (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Sichuan. Officially recognized by the Department of Education of the Sichuan Province, Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) is a large coeducational Chinese higher education institution.
