Established in 2001, Sylhet International University is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Sylhet (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Sylhet International University (SIU) is a small coeducational Bangladeshi higher education institution. Sylhet International University (SIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. SIU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
