Founded in 1989, Sámi allskuvla (Sámi University of Applied Sciences) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium town of Kautokeino (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Finnmark. Officially recognized by the Kunnskapsdepartementet, Norge (Ministry of Education of Norway), Sámi allskuvla is a very small coeducational Norwegian higher education institution. Sámi allskuvla offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Sámi allskuvla also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
