Established in 1987, Tafresh University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Tafresh (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Markazi. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Tafresh University is a small coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Tafresh University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Tafresh University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
