Founded in 2000, Talas State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Talas (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, Talas State University (TSU) is a very small coeducational Kyrgyzstani higher education institution. Talas State University (TSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. TSU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
