Founded in 1950, Tamkang University is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of New Taipei City (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), New Taipei. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, Tamkang University (TKU) is a large coeducational Taiwanese higher education institution. Tamkang University (TKU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 72 years old Taiwanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. TKU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
