Established in 1958, Tarim University is a higher-education institution located in the small city of Alar (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Xinjiang. Officially recognized by the Department of Education of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Tarim University is a large coeducational Chinese higher education institution.
